CONGRATS TO IAN AND MEL

Many congrats to our cricket chairman Ian Hayes and his lovely bride Melanie on their wedding this past Saturday, September 2nd. The reception was held at Rammy CC, which just coincidentally happened to be the venue for our 1st XI match!

While the cricket didn't have the happy ending everyone had hoped for, the 1sts going down to Elton, it was a special day. We wish Ian and Mel all the best!

On the pitch there was some positive stuff going on, with quick runs for Bret and a season best 7-50 from evergreen Nick Marsh. With a huge amount of players missing due to illness, injury, holidays and other commitments, the 2s had to bring in several loan players and, despite their best efforts, they lost by 7 wickets to Deane and Derby.
