FLASH DOMINATES MID-SEASON BATTING AVERAGES

Clive has compiled the batting averages for the 1st XI for the season to date, and there's a couple of interesting notes to pass on. First of all, Ashley - who as we all know is in the form of his life - has thus far totalled a staggering 762 runs in just 11 innings, at a formidable average of 108.86. Quite remarkable. In any other year he would be romping the league with those figures, but we understand that Hamid at Lakeside is closing in on 1000! Astonishing.

With Ash dominating so much, it's interesting to look at who else has been chipping in. Kieran's next up in the run scoring department, with 372 runs - indeed his partnership with Ash has pretty much dominated the season. To that end, poor Doc P's only had 3 league innings (81 runs at 27)! Russ, Carl, Marshy and Boris are all averaging in the mid 20s, so there's plenty of scope to build on these for the rest of the year!
