NEW NETS PRACTICE FACILITY FOR TOTTY!

Tottington St. John’s Cricket Club, established 1887, is proud to announce the completion of their new outdoor practice nets. Two artificial lanes within an enclosed netted structure provide an ideal practice facility for both the senior cricketers and the burgeoning junior section. Part of the Club’s recent development plans including a fabulous pavilion extension, which now allows for small functions up to 100 people, the nets were constructed by ClubTurf Cricket Ltd. The project received £36,920 funding from Viridor Credits Environmental Company, through the Landfill Communities Fund* together with donations from local companies.

Speaking of the new nets, Kieran Coe, Tottington St. John’s Club Development Officer said, “This is going to be great for us. We are succeeding in moving the club forward one development project per season and we are dedicated as a committee to maintaining this momentum. The new nets will enable proper coaching of our juniors and also keep practice off the square!”
