Player Profile: Nick Fletcher

Known variously as Fletch (of course), or Shane ("I wish they wouldn't as it's embarrassing when I drop it half way down the track and the batsmen clears the lodge on the next ball"), Nick is the junior half of the Fletcher family. Young Nick is a developing leg spinner and solid left hand bat who has found playing time hard to come by with work and family commitments in recent years. He's a wholehearted competitor, and has also represented the 1sts well when called upon. Indeed, he nearly had a legendary moment at Rochdalians, only for Doc P to drop a hat-trick delivery (there's a theme emerging ...). Very enthusiastic off the field as well, a great club man!

8 for at Elton Vale once playing for team 2. 50 against Broadway. Bowling 22 overs at Chew Moor Brook (I was captain that day) playing in a team with the old man despite his various comments and general observations!!!
