Player Profile: Scott Parkinson

Club Chairman and occasional 2nd teamer Scott "Scoop Doggy" Parkinson is the third eldest of the four Parkinson brothers to represent TSJ. Since taking up the mantle as Chairman in late 2007, Scott has been one of the main driving forces in getting the club moving forward off the field. Aside from his excellent work in his official capacity, Scott is best known for his easy-going nature ... yeah right! Regular Thursday night footballers are all too aware of the b*ll*ckings Scott dishes out ... to his team mates!

Career Highlight

"The second of my 2 career hatricks playing against Cheetham Hill 3rds. First wicket - bowled, second - LBW and on third delivery batter charged down the wicket, missed the ball and I 'removed' his middle stump (well knocked it a little bit !!)"

Funniest Moment (on field)

In the same game ironically, the infamous Mitchy was trying to talk out one of Cheetham Hills batters with a bit of lively banter. Batsmen never said a word, next ball he hit the biggest six I've ever seen (not sure if it's landed yet). Don't know what was funnier, the smile on the batter's face or Mitchy sulking !!

Funniest Moment (off field)

Far too many to mention - most include alcohol, dressing up and Bury Town Centre !!

The future ...

Get back playing as the children grow up and lead the club (as chairman) onto bigger and better things.
