Player Profile: Duncan Phillips

Boris! The Prof! Middle order batsman, fundraiser extraordinaire.

Boris came to the club as part of our 1996 recruitment drive to find young talent. He's about 93. However, age is a misleading thing, as Boris runs miles every day and is probably the fittest player in the club. Apart from his knees. He also ousted Doc P from the most qualified player position - Boris is a Professor! He also spends much of his life in the Far East, and if you want to hear a story about ladyboys, he's your man!

Boris has made immense contributions off the field, getting us involved in the annual Boxing Day fixture with his former club, Brooksbottom, and also relaunching the 100 Club in 2007. Both are great money spinners and have contributed in no small part to the new drive within the club. Back on the pitch, Boris is famed for his rapid scoring, once managing 37 not out off 36 overs against ELPM (he deliberately ran a 2 in the last over).

Memorable Moments

Pretty much anytime he speaks, you know you will be entertained. Took an unbelievable one handed catch at the Meadows in 2007 which defied belief. Kept a cool head to help guide us to vistory against Elton Vale in 2007.
