MIXED FORTUNES IN THE SUMMER SUN

As the British summer arrived in force there was a mixed set of results for the club this weekend. The 1sts, again struggling to field a settled side, went down to a tonking at the hands of reigning champs ELPM who cruised to a target of 173 with just one wicket down. In the Totts innings Nelly Butt had managed a second consecutive half century. The 2nds were also undone by the Millers on Saturday, managing just 120 on what is generally the league's best batting strip and going down by 5 wickets.

Sunday was much better though, the 2nds putting in a great batting display to chase down a target of almost 200 and progress to the next round of the Cup on a day when fancied sides were knocked out - well done boys!
