League and club note on use of social media

A directive has been issued from the league regarding use of Facebook and other social media, and that the behaviour and language of players, spectators and officials on such sites can bring the club and league into disrepute. All players, officials and associates of Tottington St Johns Ladies Rounders are reminded that abuse of league umpires, opponents, the league officials and players or members of your own and other clubs is strictly to be avoided and will result in club and/or league disciplinary action.

Tottington Sports Club also urges all players to be aware of the club's code of conduct which is kept in the pavilion and is available on request from club officials; we do not tolerate any abusive behaviour or any actions which may bring our members or club into disrepute, and the committee can - and will - take action against anyone who clearly breaks this code.

If you wish to raise any issues with the club committee please refer them first to the rounders welfare officer Kate Caldwell, the sports club welfare officer Kieran, or to any of the other members of the sports club committee (Paul, Dasher, Scott, Clive, Russ, Morar, Andy Walker or Duncan).

Note: we have been asked by the rounders league to post this warning online, as have all member clubs.
