In a dramatic first season in Division 5, the girls have ended the season in a highly creditable 3rd place! The two runaway leaders, Westbury and Elton Vale C deservedly earned promotion, but our girls put in a fantastic end of season charge to pip Boots Ladies for the 3rd place spot.
Having been promoted from Division 6 in 2009 and having officially become part of Tottington Sports Club in February, it was the high levels of commitment and team spirit which played a major role in what has been a terrific season both on and off the pitch. With a new website, ridiculous reports, wonderful morale and an influx of new players, 2010 will go down as possibly the best in the club's history to date.
With players constantly improving, 2011 promises to be a highly exciting year, but for now let's reflect on a wonderful campaign full of laughs and no little skill. Tottington St Johns Ladies Rounders - take a bow!
