The 2010 end of season awards were handed out at a packed Totty Con Club on Saturday 16th October. In front of a record turnout for an end of year do, skipper Michelle made an emotional* and slightly giggly+ speech thanking everyone whose hard work has paid off bigtime in 2010. Here's a summary of who won what, together with a run down of some end of year statistics!

There were also presentations made to Jane and Trish for all their hard work organising the club, Michelle for a great year as captain, and, er, me for putting together all these nonsense reports (many thanks, girls, that was a lovely surprise and much appreciated).
Just to unpick the awards a little, Vicky's triumph in the batting was richly deserved; as the numbers below show she not only had the highest average, but also the fewest zero scores per innings and most rounders per innings of any of the team! It was a close run thing, with Michelle and Jane just pipped into 2nd and 3rd. Of course when I got the first draft of the averages Michelle had won ... but that's a whole other story! Alex also won the most improved player award from Allison BY ONE VOTE - many congrats to both players for a great season and a phenomenal improvement throughout. Here's to more progress in 2011!
