RIP GRAHAM JEBB SNR

October 2nd, 2019

The players, officials and members of Tottington Sports Club would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Graham Jebb Snr, who sadly passed away this week.

Graham was a mainstay of the club's 2nd XI for many years, and was a popular figure within the club thanks to his dry humour, commitment and willingness to bowl for hours on end; he could land the ball on a sixpence with alarming regularity. Graham was also a huge presence in the wider local sporting community. He was very involved in rounders, particularly at Bury East where he helped run a number of teams and got many of his family involved. He was an active member and umpire's secretary for Bury and District Ladies Rounders League, which provides opportunity for numerous folks to enjoy recreational sport in a positive atmosphere.

In early 2019, Graham was also part of the organising group which set up a fundraising rounders game, with proceeds going to repair vandalism at East Lancs Paper Mill - another selfless act from a thoroughly decent bloke.

We send our best wishes and thoughts to Graham's family at this tough time. RIP.
