NIKO IS STAYING!

After playing a huge role with bat and ball in helping the 1st team to the Div 2A championship in 2022, Niko Brooky has committed to the club for 2023. We're absolutely thrilled to keep the loveable Kiwi at Crompton Meadows, and no doubt local bars and clubs will be equally thrilled he's staying!

Niko had a remarkable season in 2022. Having arrived at the club touted as "a spinner who bats a bit", he smashed 140 in his first innings and never really looked back. He amassed well over 600 runs, ending third in the Division 2A batting rankings, and picked up 51 wickets at 9.43 in the league; this was the best average in the division among bowlers taking 10 or more wickets and the sixth most wickets. Not only that but he truly endeared himself to the club with a tremendous knock in a thrilling T20 clash with Brox when the boys chased down over 220 to win. A sensational season by any standards!
