SAINTS KICK OFF 20/20 CAMPAIGN WITH WIN BEFORE WEEKEND WASHOUT

Rain decimated the GMCL last weekend with many fixtures seeing little play, including all of our senior games on Saturday and Sunday. However there was time on a sunny Friday evening for the Totts Saints to kick off their 20/20 campaign with victory away to a strong Elton Rifles side.

It was a low scoring but very exciting encounter, with the home side shot out for 68 in chase of the Saints 86-9. Mike Burns put in a good all round show with the game's top score of 26 before taking three wickets, while captain for the evening Ste Brooks took a brilliant 4-5 to decimate the Elton top order. Great work lads!
