A LOOK AT OUR CURRENT EXPANSION PLANS

Work began in mid September on our brand new first floor extension, work which will also see some major changes to the existing downstairs WC and changing room areas. The plans are included below, together with further details of what will be in place in the next couple of months.

UPPER TIER

The major reason for the development is to improve provision for women's and mixed cricket, via the creation of a fantastic new upper tier dual-purpose changing area, specifically for the home side. As per the plans below, there will be two changing rooms in the upper tier, each with their own toilet and shower facilities, allowing us to cater for mixed teams and occasions where separate changing is required. There will also be a balcony, allowing the home side to view the game from an elevated level. Access to the upper storey is via an external staircase. The upper dressing room area will sit directly above the lounge extension that was built a couple of years ago, on the left side of the pavilion as viewed from the playing area.

GROUND FLOOR CHANGES

In addition to the upper level work, some significant changes will be taking place downstairs, to improve provision both for matchdays and social events. The existing home changing room will become the visitors' changing room (almost doubling the size of that facility), while the current away changing room space will be renovated entirely, allowing for an enlarged function area, and for the expansion of the toilet facilities downstairs - there will now be a double sized women's toilet facility, plus gents toilets outside of the changing room area.

The front of the pavilion and internal lounge areas will also undergo some cosmetic work, to ensure that everything is ship shape in time for the home Boxing Day encounter with Brooksbottom CC.

Note that as described in the original press release, funding for the project is mainly provided by National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities fund. Additional funds, as per terms of the grant, have come from within the club.
