GALA DAY A HUGE SUCCESS

The committee and players at Tottington Sports Club would like to extend a huge thank you to all the players, officials, spectators, supporters, drinkers, merry-makers, scorers, lads and lasses who helped make our rounders gala day a huge success. Under perfect blue skies, well over 120 people came down to the Meadows and I think it's fair to say that everyone had a wonderful time.

Congratulations to the Graham Jebb family XI on their 3rd success at the gala; they remained undefeated all afternoon and took home the shield yet again after a competitive all-round display. Thanks also to Tottington "A" for helping support the day. The barbecue and bar did immense trade all day, and we sold out of almost everything! Many, many thanks to Dasher and Scott in particular for their amazing work all day behind the bar, and to Andy Walker, Danny Mozzer and co for keeping the BBQ going to feed everyone. The raffle was well supported, and curiously almost all the prizes were won by the TSJ Ladies rounders girls ... hmmm!

Of course a highlight of the day was the highly-anticipated clash of our two "mixed" cricket/rounders teams, (Michelle) Handley's Heroes and (Paul) Meehan's Marvels. A full report appears on the rounders site, but suffice to say for comedy value and general fun it more than lived up to its pre-game billing.

Thanks again for helping to support our club - we appreciate it a great deal and are already looking forward to the next event!
